Containers Tank

Depotrans also carries out repairs services o the tank containers, which are cylindric equipments made of stainless steel, having in its composition, the 304, 316 or 316 L alloys, covered by aluminium or fiberglass, with wool insulation, sustained by a reinforced carbon steel 1020 frame.

The tank container is built as per the international demands of ASME VIII div. 01 and it is considered an economic equipment, used in larger scale by the chemicals industries in general, for carriage of whatever liquid cargo in bulk.

Depotrans is fully able to carry out structural, valves and main cylinder repairs and we also can perform pneumatic, hydrostatic and ultra-sounding tests on the tanks.

As to the pneumatic test, this has the main purpose to verify and state the cylinders tightness and its connections valves and couplings, by means of application of 2 kg of comprised air pressure and it is valid for two and a half years.

As to the hydrostatic test, this has the main purpose to verify and state the cylinders tightness and it must be done by means of utilization of water, fulfilling the income tank’s capacity, applying 6 kg of pressure and it is valid for five years.

As to the ultra-sounding test, this has the main purpose to measure up the cylinders plates thickness.

The pneumatic and hydrostatic tests are performed along with a period of five years, as per the uni’s IMO class.

IMO 0 – The tank does not need to be tested out periodically, being able to carry non-dangerous products, without any risks degree, with lowest working presuure application.

 IMO 1 – The tank is periodically tested out, being able to carry foodstuff or chemicals products with working pressure no higher than 4.4 bar.

IMO 2 – The tank is periodically tested out, being able to carry foodstuff or chemicals products with working pressure no higher than 2.62 bar.

IMO 5 – The tank is able to carry gases and acids of different natures, with working pressure varying between 12 a 17 bar.

Depotrans worshop capacity is for 40 Teus.

Depotrans manpower is comprised by a highly selected team, counting with Workshop men in charge, Platers, Welders, Painters and Assistants for general services.
